Pinot Noir wines
Pinot Noir is the grape of red Burgundy and one of the three main grapes of Champagne. Thin-skinned and difficult to grow, it makes pale, silky reds with red cherry, raspberry and earthy notes, and also excels in New Zealand, Oregon and Germany, where it is called Spätburgunder. Its gentle tannins suit roast duck, mushrooms and salmon; serve at 14–16°C.
