A single-vineyard Vino Nobile made from 100% Sangiovese. Full-bodied and structured, with dark cherry, blackberry, spice, mineral notes, fresh acidity and firm tannins.

Appearance:
⤍ Deep ruby to garnet red.
Nose:
⤍ Blackberry, dark cherry, spice, earth, mineral notes and light vanilla.
Palate:
⤍ Full-bodied and structured; cherry and dark berries with firm, chalky tannins and fresh acidity
Finish:
⤍ Long, dry, savoury and mineral, with spice and light leather notes.
Gastronomy:
∙ Steak, roast beef, lamb, game, duck, mushroom dishes, truffle, aged Pecorino.
∙ Avoid: Delicate seafood, light white fish, sweet dishes, very spicy food
Vineyards:
∙ Costa Grande, approx. 1.5 ha, adjacent to the historic Vigna del Nocio.
∙ North-west facing, protected hillside with good ventilation.
∙ Replanted in 2000
Ageing method:
Oak tonneaux, large oak casks and concrete vats
Winemaking process:
Destemmed and gently crushed; fermentation in oak vats using indigenous yeasts
Interesting notes:
Costa Grande has been selected for Boscarelli wines since the 1980s but has been bottled separately as a Cru only since 2015
