Roero Arneis Tabaria, 2022
With Tenuta La Meridiana's reputation for aromatic white wines, this rich and well-rounded white is an excellent representation of this. While still offering refreshing acidity, this full-bodied white explodes with wildflower and fruity aromas.

Winemaking process:
The hand-picked Arneis is split: part is pressed straight away, part has about ten hours of cold skin contact at 10°C. Fermentation runs at 18°C in steel, followed by a short rest on the lees. In Piedmontese dialect 'arnèis' means a little rascal; the grape was close to extinction in the 1970s before Roero revived it.
Vinoteka's note
Arneis, Piedmont's white grape that nearly disappeared in the 1970s, from the Roero hills. Hand-picked, fermented cool and kept eight months on the lees with bâtonnage. Straw yellow; pear and chamomile, lime and mint, white peach; medium acidity, an enveloping body and an aromatic finish. The producer serves it at 7–8 °C with antipasti, white meats, fresh cheese or baked sea bream.
