Characteristics
Wine Style:
White- An exotic white wine that is highly aromatic, slightly spicy. The wine is full-bodied, textured with youthful freshness.
Tasting Notes:
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter edged. The nose is tightly bound and slender in presentation, but with good intensity of exotic florals and root ginger, the aromatic showing youthful freshness and cut. With aeration, nutty elements emerge and the intensity builds. Medium-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate features a rounded, well-concentrated core of exotic rose-petal florals, lychees and root ginger. The palate is guided by a very fine-textured line with balanced alcoholic power and drive, and integrated acidity. The wine has youthful freshness and energy and the core carries to a lingering finish of musk, ginger and spices.
Gastronomy:
Enjoy on its own or with soft and aged cheeses or pair carefully with Asian flavored dishes or citrusy seafood or be bold and serve with pork-based sausages.
Winemaking process:
Beautifully ripe fruit was hand-harvested in March and whole bunch pressed. Tiny berries produced wonderfully concentrated fruit flavours which were preserved by fermenting the wine at cool temperatures.
