Wine Paolo Manzone, Barolo Meriame, 2014
This Barolo opens with aromas of cedar, black-skinned fruit and mocha. The assertive palate offers toasted oak, liquorice and black cherry jam alongside tightly packed, aggressive tannins.
Red - Rich and Intense.
A ripe, ruby red coloured Barolo which is full-bodied and powerful with aromas of rose petal, chopped mint and vanilla slowly appearing in the glass. The austere palate shows cranberry, star anise and clove alongside tightly wound tannins. Notes of plum and cherry combine with bramble and leading to a long finish.
Fantastic food wine that pairs well with red meats, venison, spicy food and Asian cuisine.
