Spätburgunder Tradition Trocken, 2022
While this Pinot Noir offers a full-bodied, intense experience, it offers equally delicate and fruity notes throughout. This wine is a great depiction of the versatility that the variety can offer.
About this wine
Wine Style:
Red - A serious and intense Pinot Noir that exhibits deep smoky notes. Well balanced with fruit notes and invigorating acidity.
Tasting Notes:
Nose of sour cherries, red berries and smoky notes. On the palate-invigorating acidity and refined tannin structure. Of great elegance and great length. Wonderful food companion.
Gastronomy:
A great accompaniment to beef fillets or beef steaks and BBQ meats as well as flavourful stews.
Vineyards:
Vines grow on shell limestone.
Winemaking process:
Pinot Noir from vines rooted in shell limestone around Siebeldingen in the southern Pfalz is matured for two years in new and used French and Palatinate oak barrels. The estate's name honours Eduard Rebholz, granted the title 'Ökonomierat' (agricultural counsellor), and it is now farmed organically and biodynamically.
Interesting notes:
The motto of Hansjörg Rebholz from the Rebholz winery in Siebeldingen is no compromises. Numerous awards and, last but not least, his wines, which are among the best wines from the Palatinate
