Wine Style:
Full bodied wine, like a good Cab/Zin with cherry & oak undertones.
Tasting Notes:
Dark ruby red, garnet reflections. Aromas: intense and complex. Beautiful notes of blackberries, rhubarb, black pepper and vanilla. Taste: Fruity flavor with light spicy notes; ripe red berries, blackberries and climbing roses. Elegant, intense and long, balanced and deep taste with a long, persistent and lingering finish.
Vineyards:
Colle Rosina vineyard with more than 40 years old vines at sea level. Harvest 5 tons/ha, medium texture soil, tending to sandy with presence of fine gravel
Ageing method:
ages in French oak for more than one year
Winemaking process:
fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by maceration and aging in French oak barriques. A long aging in bottle follows. Intense aromas of black currant and blueberry
