Tasting Notes:
The wine is full-bodied with grippy tannins and complex notes. Expect layers of vanilla, cassis, plum, tar, licorice, earthiness, and pepper notes.

The wine’s intensity makes it ideal for rich beef dishes, like beef stew or fatty steak. The tannin with the fatty elements is the perfect combination.
Vineyards:
The vineyards are located on the west-facing slopes of Vingrau Valley, where all the wines are produced sustainably.
Winemaking process:
Made from vines over 35 years old on clay-limestone terraces with rolled pebbles in the Vingrau valley, then aged 12 months in French oak, a third each in new, one-year and two-year barrels. The estate is named after the nearby Caune de l'Arago cave, where a 450,000-year-old human skull, the oldest found in France, was discovered.
