Wine Despagne, L'Onde Rythmique Lunaire, 2018
Red - Compared to many other Bordeaux blends, this wine offers a softer approach with silkier tannins and gentler acidity.
The wine is smooth and intriguing. Expect blackberries, plums, and cassis notes. This is often accompanied by leather, earthy, cherry, and raspberry notes with an exciting minerality at the end.
The wine's softness works well with leaner cuts of steak and other red meats. It is also an excellent choice for exotic meats, venison, and game meat.
The vineyards are affected by the ocean and two rivers. The soils are limestone-rich and add significantly to the wine's minerality.
The wines undergo a lengthy fermentation process, ten days of maceration on the skins, and malolactic fermentation that occurs in the vats. Thereafter, wines are aged for a year before being released.
The Tour de Mirambeau château is the historical Despagne estate that has been passed down through eight generations.
