Wine Style:
It is a medium-bodied red wine, blended from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It has a soft and balanced Bordeaux style, with round and appealing tannins.

The wine offers flavors of ripe sour cherries, blackcurrants, and red plums, along with a hint of vanilla from oak aging. Additionally, there are subtle layers of licorice, adding complexity and interest to the wine.

Aged Camembert, grilled poultry, rabbit stew. Ideal for pairing with red meat like beef and lamb, Italian dishes such as spaghetti bolognese or lasagna, and herb-infused dishes like braised lamb with rosemary are ideal choices. Ageing method:
100% of wine 12 months in new French and Romanian oak barriques, medium toasted. This process imparts subtle notes of vanilla and adds layers of complexity to the wine.
Winemaking process:
Hand-picked Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from Château Vartely's southern vineyards are fermented for seven days at about 28°C with pumping over eight hours a day, followed by fully natural malolactic fermentation, and no oak. The vines grow on chernozem, the black, humus-rich soil typical of the Moldovan steppe.

Merlot (55%) and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Bugeac zone in southern Moldova, aged 12 months in barrel. Velvety, with pomegranate and cherry and a leathery nuance. The producer pairs it with game and hard cheeses. Vartely's gravity-flow winery is built into a former stone quarry near Orhei.
