Wine Cavalchina, Santa Lucia Bardolino Superiore, 2020
Beautifullly balanced, light to medium bodied with inviting freshness, cherries, plums and forest red berries. A great example of what Bardolino DOC is capable of. On the palate is juicy and full of lingering flavor.

Tasting Notes:
Spices and cherries typical of Corvina and Rondinella blend with the color and structure of Marzemino and the acidic backbone of Barbera; this results in a wine of multiple nuances which doesn’t shy away from well flavored food
Vineyards:
The vineyards are 120 to 140 meters above sea level and are south facing. The vine is trained in a single guyot. Soil is clay, limestone along with gravel presence.
Ageing method:
1 year in used midsized barrels, slavonic oak
Winemaking process:
Destalked grapes, fermentation with daily stirring and racking. Beginning at a high temperature then lowered to about 18/20°. Malolactic fermentation is welcomed during alcoholic fermentation .
