Sangiovese-based Vino Nobile from Cervognano. Dry and structured, with sour cherry, red berries, floral notes, fresh acidity and fine tannins. Aged 18–24 months in large oak.

Dry, still red; medium to medium-full body, fresh acidity and firm but fine tannins.

Appearance:
⤍ Ruby red, developing garnet tones.
Nose:
⤍ Sour cherry, red berries, rose, violet, spice and liquorice.
Palate:
⤍ Dry and fresh; medium-full structure, red fruit, clear acidity and fine tannins.
Finish:
⤍ Persistent, dry, with red fruit, spice and light earthy notes.
Gastronomy:
∙ Beef, roast lamb, game, duck, roast poultry, ragù, mushroom dishes, aged Pecorino
∙ Avoid: Delicate white fish, light seafood, very spicy food, sweet dishes
Vineyards:
East-facing vineyards, approx. 280–350 m; vines selected from parcels at least 10 years old
Ageing method:
18–24 months in oak, followed by several months in bottle
Winemaking process:
Destemmed and gently crushed; fermentation with indigenous yeasts in oak or stainless-steel vats
Interesting notes:
Boscarelli's oldest Vino Nobile label, first produced in 1968; its blend and aging approach have remained largely unchanged
