Winemaking process:
Alcanta Tinto is a young, unoaked red assembled from the best wines of the year made by Bocopa's member cooperatives inland from Alicante, and it is the producer's best-selling wine. Monastrell, Alicante's signature red grape, is the same variety known in France as Mourvèdre.

Alcanta Red is selected from some of the best young wines produced by Bocopa’s associated wineries and is one of the producer’s best-selling wines.

Alcanta Tinto is a "vintage wine" assembled each year from the best lots of Bocopa's partner cooperatives in Alicante, with Monastrell in the lead alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. Bocopa was founded in 1987 and from day one refused to sell in bulk, bottling everything under its own labels. Cherry-garnet, with a fresh, fruity nose of ripe black fruit, spice and balsamic hints, medium-bodied and flavourful. The producer pairs it with meats, cured sausages, cheeses and rice dishes; serve at 15–17 °C.
