The famous region of Barbera d'Asti has brought to light is spectacular savory red wine. This wine has often been described as elegant, vibrant with an intense fruitiness and lingering finish.
Characteristics
Wine Style:
Red - One of the few sparkling red wines. This semi-sweet aromatic wine is intense and lively.
Tasting Notes:
Ruby red hue with intense aromas of rosehip and spicy tones. On the palate, it is sweet, lively and delicate with an excellent fresh fruity aftertaste.
Gastronomy:
Excellent with sweets, desserts, fruit salads, dry pastries.
Vineyards:
The soil is calcareous-clayish with south-east exposure. Yield per hectare: 8 tons. Manual Harvest.
Ageing method:
Two months in the bottle.
Winemaking process:
The Grapes undergo cold maceration for the extraction of colour for about 48h at 5'C. After the next pressing, the must is stored at low temperature to keep it sweet. Before commercialization, it is fermented at 15'C, until it reaches about 5 degrees of alcohol content. Cooled, filtered, it is ready to be bottled.
