Tasting Notes:
Light straw yellow in colour. Complex nose with fresh notes of aged yeast, followed by baked bread, sunflower seeds and almonds at the back. Rich and structured on the palate, the sensation is harmonious with persistent fine bubbles. Impressive balance and moderate alcohol. The ideal food companion.

4 years, bottle fermentation and maturation.

Methode Champenoise, Methode Traditionnelle, Bottle Fermentation - are terms used to describe the oldest and most respected sparkling wine process. Manual riddling (remuage), degorgeage are carried out in the last stages of the winemaking process.

Cricova winery is using the best free-run juice from manually harvested grapes for its Methode Traditionnelle sparkling. We did have the opportunity to taste it! The grape juice is of premium quality, purity and aromatics. It translates into a solid sparkling which have caught the attention of wine lovers and critics internationally. Certainly an unexpected and pleasant surprise from this region in South-Eastern Europe. 'Decanter' wine magazine regularly recognizes Cricova and often rewards their efforts with medals.
