Wine Style:
Sparkling - Afresh, well-structured sparkling of exceptional quality that offers incredible value it provides to wine consumers.
Tasting Notes:
Pure white colour with a touch of green, the rim colour display shades of yellow. The nose is rich and insistent - summer flower notes with a hint of green apples in the background and opens up to rose petals and followed with anis, implying a certain sweetness on the palate which is completely offset by a pleasant and impressive acidity, rare in this sparkling category. Bitter-crisp, green and savoury at the same time.
Gastronomy:
Mediterranean style salads, steamed fish, non-spicy poultry even sorbets and fruit tarts.
Vineyards:
Central Moldova, vineyards with the proven potential of yielding solid white grapes with good acidity and developed aromatics. Feteasca Alba grape variety, also well known and cultivated in Hungary and Romania, recognized for zingy, flavourful sparkling wines. Cricova Crisecco is one of the best examples.
Ageing method:
6 months in stainless steel tanks.
Winemaking process:
Secondary natural fermentation by Methode Charmat (also known as bulk method, Metodo Maritnotti).
