Grenache/Garnacha wines
Grenache, called Garnacha in Spain, where it most likely originated, thrives in hot, dry climates. It is the main grape of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and a key part of Priorat reds, Rioja blends and many Provence rosés. Expect ripe strawberry, raspberry and spice with soft tannins and generous alcohol; serve slightly cool and enjoy it with grilled meats, sausages or spiced dishes.
