Barolo Meriame is the representative wine of Paolo Manzone Estate and faithfully exhibiting the terroir of Meriame.
Gianpaolo and his wife, Luisella are at the helm of the winery. This Cru Meriame estate of Serralunga has belonged to Luisella's family for generations. A widely regarded and respected boutique producer, located in one of the official Gran Crus of Barolo - Meriame. It boasts 14 ha planted with Dolcetto, Barbera, Arneis, and Nebbiolo. The Nebbiolo based wines are Barolo and Barolo single Cru. Paolo Manzone produces full-bodied wines made using traditional methods, with manual harvesting, slow fermentation, and long wood ageing. He follows the step by step development very close to allow the wine to ennoble while keeping the special characteristics of the grapes and preserving the message of Barolo in each vintage.
Paolo Manzone Barolo Meriame 2014 is the perfect collection wine to be cellared for optimal enjoyment between 2023-2027 although ready to be enjoyed at present. Being wine from 100% Nebbiolo grapes it pairs exceptionally well with Chinese dishes and spice-driven Asian cuisine.
