Richmond Plains Pinot Gris is a soft, subtle, fruity and elegant wine. This approachability makes it an excellent match for many different foods and cooking styles from spicy Asian dishes to grilled seafood.
Fragrant floral honeysuckle aromas mixed with tangelo and apple notes. Delicious citrus, rock melon and pear with rich caramelised apple flavours. Hints of Turkish delight and rose petals. A smooth, long lingering finish.
Great with seafood, spicy food, Asian cuisine and flavourful meat stews.
The vineyards are a natural carbon sink as they mulch vine prunings, grasses, herbs, leaves and grape mark back into the soil. This also increases the soil depth and organic matter which is rich in natural fertility and hosts millions of beneficial organisms and insects.
Beautifully ripe fruit was hand harvested in March and whole bunch pressed. Tiny berries produced wonderful concentrated fruit flavours which were preserved by fermenting the wine at cool temperatures.
