Winemaking process:
A young Verdejo from the Rueda appellation, made by Viñaguareña, a Toro family winery on the Guareña river. It is fermented at cool, controlled temperature and bottled young, without oak, to keep its fruit and herbal freshness. Rueda was the first appellation in Castilla y León, recognised in 1980.

Verdejo is Rueda’s signature native white variety. Recognised for its fruit, herbal character and subtly bitter finish.

Munia is the brand of Bodega ViñaGuareña in Toro, an 80-hectare estate where only a quarter is under vine and some plants are over a century old; the Verdejo is sourced from neighbouring Rueda. Bright straw-gold, with pineapple, mango and passion fruit over floral and herbal hints; the palate is ripe, soft and round, stone fruit held by a gentle minerality and a silky texture, with a long finish of white flowers, spice and wild herbs. Serve well chilled with grilled fish, shellfish or soft cheeses.
