Appearance:
⤍ Intense cherry red with garnet reflections.
Nose:
⤍ Cherry, strawberry and liquorice, layered with spice and oak.
Palate:
⤍ Rounded and structured, with moderate tannins and balanced acidity.
Finish:
⤍ A long finish with lingering red fruit, liquorice and oak.

Grilled beef, lamb chops, roast pork, sausages, jamón, meat-based pasta and semi-hard cheeses.
Maturation:
Stabilised in stainless steel, then matured for at least 12 months in oak barrels.
Winemaking process:
Mileto is Bodegas Alvia's classic Rioja line from Ventosa in Rioja Alta. As a Crianza, it must age at least two years before release, with a minimum of one year in oak barrels. Rioja was Spain's first wine region to gain Qualified Designation of Origin (DOCa) status, in 1991.

Mileto is the everyday range of Bodegas Alvia, the Rioja Alta winery on the Camino de Santiago that was founded to save century-old vineyards. The Crianza is 85 % Tempranillo with Garnacha and Mazuelo, hand-picked, fermented in stainless steel and aged at least twelve months in American and French oak. Very intense garnet, with cherry, strawberry and liquorice and well-integrated oak, a structured palate with balanced acidity and a long finish. Serve at 16–18 °C with grilled meats, chorizo or a Manchego board.
