Montepulciano wines
Montepulciano is a red grape of central Italy, the base of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and of Rosso Conero in the Marche. It should not be confused with the Tuscan town of Montepulciano, whose Vino Nobile is made mainly from Sangiovese. It gives deeply coloured wines with plum, black cherry and soft tannins, an easy match for pizza, pasta, grilled pork and everyday meals.
