The Hirsch family has lived in the old Zehenthof at Kammern im Kamptal since 1878; today Johannes Hirsch, the fifth generation, runs the estate. In 1999 the family replaced all red varieties with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner only. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically and include famous Erste Lagen such as Heiligenstein, Gaisberg, Lamm and Grub.
