Masciarelli
San Martino sulla Marrucina, Abruzzo, Italy
Italy, Abruzzo
Masciarelli was founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli at San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti, and became a key name in modern Abruzzo wine. The estate owns vineyards and olive groves in all four Abruzzo provinces, Chieti, Pescara, Teramo and L'Aquila, spread over more than 60 vineyard plots. Its 22 labels form seven lines, among them Villa Gemma, Marina Cvetić and Castello di Semivicoli, and the cellar holds over 1,000 French oak barriques. The 17th-century Castello di Semivicoli is now its wine resort.
