De Stefani
Fossalta di Piave, Veneto, Italy
Italy, Veneto
The De Stefani family has made wine in the Veneto for four generations, beginning in 1866 with Valeriano De Stefani in Refrontolo, in the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco hills. In 1963 the family bought its first vineyards in the Piave area, and today Alessandro De Stefani runs the winery from Fossalta di Piave. Its estates include Colvendrame in Refrontolo, Le Ronche, Pra' Longo and Carbonere near the Piave, and Bailo in Valpolicella. Since 2007 the vineyards have been farmed without herbicides or chemical fertilisers.
