Pinord has made wine and cava in Vilafranca del Penedès since 1942, and today the third generation of the Tetas family runs the house. In 2007 it became the first winery in Spain certified biodynamic by Demeter, and since 2012 all of its own vineyards are farmed this way. Its Mas Muntanyans estate in the Penedès is a private nature reserve with a self-sufficient winery. Alongside the classic Xarel·lo, Macabeu and Parellada, Pinord grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Muscat and Gewürztraminer.
