Bodegas Alvia stands in Ventosa, Rioja Alta, on the Camino de Santiago, and was created to preserve the region's old vineyards. It farms more than 30 hectares of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, Viura and Malvasía in plots around the Sierra Cantabria and along the Ebro. Many vines are over a hundred years old, and the grapes are picked by hand into small 15 kg boxes.
