Wine Tenuta La Meridiana, Le Quattro Terre Barbera d'Asti, 2017
Correct expression of Barbera grape with all its attributes: elegant red cherries and blackberry aroma, medium body, refreshing acidity. A lively ruby hue. The winemakers’ input and creation deliver an exceedingly balanced and smooth wine, paring successfully with veal, poultry, salami and duck.
Pleasant, fresh, fruity. No wood ageing.
Ruby red in colour. Fruity with notes of cherry and blackberry.
Ideal with main courses, pairs well with cured meats.
The soil is calcareous-clayish and silt with south exposure. Yield per hectare: 9 tonnes. Manual harvest.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, at a temperature of about 25-26'C, for 15 days in contact with the skins, it is drained to complete the primary fermentation without grape marc. After completing malolactic fermentation, it continues refinement in stainless steel tanks.
