Wine Okonomierat Rebholz, Weisser Burgunder Trocken, 2016
White - A tropical-focused wine that is elegant and bright. It also exhibits a subtle flintiness and great minerality.
Shines bright yellow with a green shimmer in the glass. On the nose, generous tropical fruits, especially passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, watermelon and a touch of hibiscus balanced by a gentle flinty bed. The palate impresses with a soft, supple, harmonious style with mineral components. Very balanced with an opulent, wide-ranging and long finish.
Drink as an aperitif or enjoy with seafood, poultry, snacks and vegetable dishes.
Loess Loam soil.
The juice is left for 24 hours with skin contact. Sedimentation follows and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Minimal intervention.
“This wine shows earthy minerals, aromas of ash and spiced melon. On the palate, the wine has an oily texture with dominant nutty melon and mineral spice.” (K&L Wine Merchants). Impressively unusual Pinot Blanc (Weisser Burgunder) coming from a top German producer.
